Yesterday was my 38th birthday and it’s weird but I don’t feel 38. I feel a lot younger, physically and mentally. I am sure that will catch up with me soon enough. I was showered with shout-outs of happy birthdays on social media, and I also got a few texts from some close family and friends.

All in all it was a good day. I got some delicious pizza and hot wings from a local spot and received a handful of cards from my amazing kids. My beautiful wife even got me a nice little gift. I won’t share what it was because I don’t want to make anyone jealous, but it was pretty amazing.

I haven’t always been a fan of my birthday. It’s just so close to Christmas that I feel like I miss out on some of the birthday fun due to the holiday happenings. I am sure there are some people out there that can understand what I mean, but I’ll tell ya, my amazing family sure does an excellent job of making sure they know they are thinking of me and that I am special to them.

This weekend we are celebrating mine, my brother-in-law, my friend, and his girlfriend’s birthday by playing laser tag. We have a huge group going, and my wife already said we are not allowed to be on the same team. But as for last night, my actual bday, with a belly full of pizza, and non-stop laughs from the Impractical Jokers, I had a perfect night for my 38th, and I could not have asked for anything more.

I'm a 40-year-old father blessed with two wonderful children: a 13-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son. My life revolves around my beautiful wife, who is the cornerstone of our family. Without her unwavering support, none of what I do would be possible. By day, I serve as a network administrator for a local school district, ensuring smooth operations in the realm of technology. During the evenings, you'll often find me engrossed in various creative pursuits, from illustrating books to crafting websites or composing music. But above all, my priority is spending quality time with my kids. Parenthood has been a profound journey of growth and discovery for me, and now, armed with a keyboard instead of a pen, I'm eager to share my experiences and insights with others.
