St. Louis is about to throw one big neighborhood party for music lovers. On Saturday, September 6th and Sunday, September 7th, the Free 4 All Music Showcase will take over the Grand Center Arts District with 100 different acts across 9 stages—all packed into one unforgettable weekend.

Best part? It’s completely free to attend.

This isn’t your typical festival. Instead of a few big headliners, the spotlight is shared equally among every performer. From rock to hip hop, jazz to folk, and even those sounds you can’t quite put into a genre, Free 4 All is designed to celebrate the full spectrum of talent that makes St. Louis such a creative hub. Shorter sets and multiple venues mean you can hop around, sample new sounds, and discover your next favorite local artist.

The showcase also ties into the upcoming MATI Festival and Conference (happening September 12–14). Presented by the Kranzberg Arts Foundation, MATI is partnering with Free 4 All to provide venues and networking opportunities for performers. Every musician who takes the stage during Free 4 All will also receive a MATI weekend pass—giving them access to panels, connections, and an artist lounge the following week.

What makes Free 4 All really special is how it came together: the lineup was built with community input. Any artist could apply to play, and fans were encouraged to nominate their favorite local musicians. That means you’ll see everything from seasoned gigging bands to first-timers just looking for a platform to share their songs.

So if you’re looking for a fun, family-friendly way to soak in the energy of the city, head to the Grand Center Arts District on September 6th and 7th. Free 4 All Music Showcase is more than just a concert—it’s a celebration of the people, creativity, and music that make St. Louis shine.

I'm a 40-year-old father blessed with two wonderful children: a 13-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son. My life revolves around my beautiful wife, who is the cornerstone of our family. Without her unwavering support, none of what I do would be possible. By day, I serve as a network administrator for a local school district, ensuring smooth operations in the realm of technology. During the evenings, you'll often find me engrossed in various creative pursuits, from illustrating books to crafting websites or composing music. But above all, my priority is spending quality time with my kids. Parenthood has been a profound journey of growth and discovery for me, and now, armed with a keyboard instead of a pen, I'm eager to share my experiences and insights with others.
