Lake Saint Louis, MO – Some of the nation’s top show ponies are ready to take the ring at the 2026 American Shetland Pony Club (ASPC) National Congress. This premier championship takes place July 20–25, 2026, at the National Equestrian Center in Lake St. Louis, Missouri.
The ASPC National Congress is the association’s longest-running championship show. The historic event features more than 450 classes, showcasing American Shetland Ponies, American Show Ponies, and National Sport Performance Ponies. The variety of classes scheduled highlight the versatility, beauty, and personality that make the American Shetland Pony and the other breeds under the ASPC umbrella such crowd favorites.
At the ASPC Congress, pony exhibitors, breeders, and youth from across North America will compete for national titles, participating in everything from leadline, costume and obstacle to halter conformation and thrilling roadster plus elegant harness and pleasure driving.
Congress competition begins Monday with National Futurity classes, a lucrative program encouraging the breeding of quality ponies. Competition continues throughout the week starting with in-hand or halter competition during the morning and afternoon then progressing to exciting driving and performance classes later in the day. The show concludes Saturday with driving grand championships competition.
This family-friendly event is free to spectators. There will be streaming coverage from Radiance Videography for those unable to attend in person, with the link posted on the registry’s website when the Congress begins.
