This St. Louis Dad Needs a Job

ResumeBuschStadiumDonnie Grooms is an unemployed father and went to some extreme measures to get his name out there. While the Cards were losing to the Cubs, Donnie stood outside Busch Stadium to hand out his resume to anyone who would take one. His sign says: “UNEMPLOYED – MY FAMILY’S DREAMS DON’T WORK UNLESS I DO! PLEASE TAKE A RESUME!!”

What he wrote may ring true for many out there looking for work. Dreams can sometimes only be filled when there is some semblance of financial stability. Without proper finances dreams are put on hold. Which can be very heartbreaking for a family.

Donnie’s ethic in job searching has since went viral with the image posted to Facebook, Imgur, and Reddit with comments on some of the sites ranging in the thousands. A few TV news stations have also picked up on Donnie’s story. Seeing that Donnie was from St. Louis and a member of a parenting group I am also in I had to send Donnie a quick message offering support from another St. Louis Dad.

Are you looking for someone who is hard working and willing to go the extra mile? Donnie might be your guy. Check out his info below!

Richie

My name is Richie and I am a 35 year old father of two. My daughter is nine years old and my son is five. I am married to a beautiful woman named Destiny. She is the foundation of our family, and without her, none of this would be possible. During the day I work as a network security administrator for a local school district. At night I can be found illustrating books, working on websites, or creating music, but more than likely though I am spending time with my kids.
