St. Louis — Westport Plaza is going to the dogs on Saturday, June 21.

Adoptable Pups, Pet Parent Mix & Mingle, Training Tips, Pet Product Vendors and More

In partnership with Kennelwood Pet Resorts, Westport Plaza is turning its outdoor event venue into a puppy paradise for the day. Dogs and their human families are invited to come out to mix and mingle with other pet parents. A variety of play activities, dog-centric vendors and adoption opportunities will be available from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Adoptable pups will be brought to the site by rescue groups, including: Golden Rescue, Stray Paws, On My Way to Forever Rescue, St. Animal Pet Adoptions and All About Paws.

The expert trainers from Kennelwood Pet Resorts will be on site to help attendees teach their old (and young) dogs new tricks, to answer questions about behaviors and to give handling tips for all the good boys and girls. Fun agility courses will entertain the dogs and Polly the Pet Matchmaker will help everyone find the perfect furry companion. Groomers will give fur-care tips and will decorate visiting dogs with animal-safe tinsel and tattoos

Vendors with pet products will add to the fun with items from Barkcuterie, Atomic Bubbles and more.

Westport Plaza is a vibrant multi-use entertainment destination located at 111 Westport Plaza Dr. Maryland Heights, MO 63146, near I-270 and Page Ave. Parking is free at Westport Plaza. Visitors can enjoy a variety of restaurants and activities and a full schedule of special events throughout the year. I'm a 40-year-old father blessed with two wonderful children: a 13-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son. My life revolves around my beautiful wife, who is the cornerstone of our family. Without her unwavering support, none of what I do would be possible. By day, I serve as a network administrator for a local school district, ensuring smooth operations in the realm of technology. During the evenings, you'll often find me engrossed in various creative pursuits, from illustrating books to crafting websites or composing music. But above all, my priority is spending quality time with my kids. Parenthood has been a profound journey of growth and discovery for me, and now, armed with a keyboard instead of a pen, I'm eager to share my experiences and insights with others.
