IMG_4301Does owning a van make you suburban family official? If so then I should’ve signed up years ago. After years of driving the same old car we finally purchased a new van. It is a thing of beauty and comfort. Riding a little higher does weird me out a little bit but I can imagine that after some time passes I will get use to it.

Before the purchase getting kids to and from places could turn into a chore if we had more than our own with us. Sometimes we would even have to take two cars to get everyone to where we were going. Now with our beautiful van that does not seem to be the case. I am also thrilled that I can easily load larger items without having to call on friends to help us out with the load.

I know this is short but I had to put it out there that I am now a van dad. It’s not my primary vehicle, I leave that status for my wife but I do drive the van and am proud to call it my own. One thing for certain though is that I am excited to see what kind of van accessories I can use with this beast, so if any brands out there are interested in some partnership with this awesomely new van dad, hit up that contact section. And if you are wondering, yes I already asked if I could turn my van into a 2017 sheep dog, but I was quickly shot down.

I'm a 40-year-old father blessed with two wonderful children: a 13-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son. My life revolves around my beautiful wife, who is the cornerstone of our family. Without her unwavering support, none of what I do would be possible. By day, I serve as a network administrator for a local school district, ensuring smooth operations in the realm of technology. During the evenings, you'll often find me engrossed in various creative pursuits, from illustrating books to crafting websites or composing music. But above all, my priority is spending quality time with my kids. Parenthood has been a profound journey of growth and discovery for me, and now, armed with a keyboard instead of a pen, I'm eager to share my experiences and insights with others.
