St. Louis — Take Mom for an elegant Mother’s Day brunch and some hands-on, hands-wet family fun at America’s most interactive Aquarium.

Brunch at the St. Louis Aquarium at Union Station is offered in a combination ticket that includes the luxurious meal and admission to the Aquarium. Seatings are Sunday, May 11 at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. An on-site bouquet bar lets youngsters create and purchase a special flower arrangement for Mom.

At the Aquarium, guests will enjoy exhibits and habitats where they can pet stingrays and sharks, touch jellyfish and sea stars, feed turtles and Archer Fish, watch the playful otters and get a Doctor Fish manicure. A Shark Canyon dive show at 1:15 p.m. lets kids talk with the divers while they are under water. The Aquarium’s Ambassador Animals will meet and greet families throughout the day. Kids might meet a sloth, armadillo, parrot and many other fascinating Aquarium residents.

A cash bar will be available throughout the brunch. Tickets are $83,76 including tax. Children ages 2 and under are complimentary.

MOMS RIDE FREE ON THE ST. LOUIS WHEEL ON MOTHER’S DAY

After brunch at the Aquarium, or as a stand-alone activity, families can take Mom for a free ride on the 200-foot-tall St. Louis Wheel at Union Station. The Wheel offers amazing views of the St. Louis skyline and is open from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. The enclosed gondolas are heated and cooled so mom will be comfy on the Wheel no matter the weather on May 11. Carousel rides, mini-golf and carnival games also will be open. Inside Union Station, Selfie Express is open to capture photo memories and the Mirror Maze adds more fun to the day. Tickets are available at the Wheel or online in advance at www.thestlouiswheel.com.
