St. Louis – October, 2025 — Take fright and fun to a new level this season at City Museum with unique experiences for all ages every Wednesday-Sunday beginning October 1 and continuing through October 26.

Fireside shows at the Theatre of the Oddities thrill guests on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 12:30, 2 and 4 p.m.; Fridays at 4:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays at 2:30, 3:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.; and Sundays at 12:30, 2 and 3:30 p.m. Hosted by the inscrutable Doc Terminus, the Odditorium lands somewhere between odd and amazing with acrobats, fire breakthers and some spooky surprises.

Want to connect to the spirit world? Live seances will be held on Friday and Saturday evenings at 5, 6, 7 and 8 p.m. and on Sundays at 2:30, 4 and 5 p.m.

For the little ones or more timid folks of all ages, Not-So-Spooky Storytelling sessions with the City Museum witch will spin slightly terrifying tales on Saturdays and Sundays in the 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. hours.

Circus Harmony, the resident troupe at City Museum, transforms into the Happy Haunted Harmony Circus during the Fright at the Museum celebration. Times are Wednesdays at 1 p.m., Thursdays at noon, Fridays at noon and

2 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays at 1 and 3 p.m.

Nothing is a better soundtrack to scary season than organ concerts on City Museum’s 1924 Wurlitzer. The Organist’s Awakening will chill spines from 4 to 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

The 50th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Picture Show will be celebrated with a screening on the City Museum rooftop on October 25. Featuring a live shadowcast by Flustered Mustard, the ticket includes a prop bag to enhance the show. Dressing up is encouraged.

Exhibits and spooky decor throughout the museum provide an immersive experience like never before. Visitors can dare to venture into the unknown as they explore carefully curated exhibits of the bizarre, the enigmatic, and the extraordinary. From artifacts that defy explanation to peculiar specimens that challenge the limits of imagination, Fright at the Museum promises an unforgettable encounter with the unconventional. Entertainers and specialty bars add to the atmosphere. Guests will experience all of this Halloween magic in addition to City Museum’s hands-on fun for the regular admission price.

Beyond the shows and exhibits, City Museum’s food and drink outlets have embraced the Halloween spirit.

VAMPIRE BAR – Creatively Creepy Cocktails

Step into the shadows and into the allure of the night where darkness and decadence intertwine on City Museum’s third floor. Indulge in the mystique of vampire lore and enter a realm of intoxicating ambiance and tantalizing flavors. Sip on rich, crimson elixirs that transport 21+ guests to a world where mortals and immortals coexist. Featured drinks: True Blood — Tequila, Triple Sec, Strawberry Puree and Passionfruit Juice, served in a blood bag; and Zombie Shots — Malibu, Midori and Pineapple Juice.

COVEN & CAULDRON – A Witches’ Pub Experience

Enter a world of magic, mystery, and a dash of the macabre at Coven & Cauldron – the ultimate witches’ pub experience on the first floor. From enchanting concoctions to brews, this is where the supernatural and the extraordinary converge. Step into the dimly lit pub and embrace the mystic energy that surrounds everyone from curious mortals to practicing witches. Featured drink: The Poison Apple — a concoction of Vodka, Midori, Lime Juice and Apple Juice.

BEATNIK BOB’S

Everyone’s favorite City Museum hangout is getting in on the seasonal fun with the Fall Old Fashioned — Jameson, Pumpkin Puree, Cinnamon/Nutmeg Simple Syrup and Bitters; and the Pumpkin Spice White Russian — Vodka, Kahlua, Pumpkin Spiced Irish Cream, Pumpkin Puree and Heavy Cream.

Guests are encouraged to dress in their Halloween best for Fright at the Museum, but no full face masks or capes are allowed for safety.
