LOUIS, MO \u2013 December, 2025 \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>The St. Louis Classic Rock Preservation Society (SLCRPS) has\u00a0<\/strong>proudly inducted 12 new honorees into the St. Louis Classic Rock HALL OF FAME.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mission of&nbsp;the St. Louis Classic Rock Preservation Society is to preserve, promote and honor St. Louis&#8217; unique classic rock heritage and its place in music and pop culture history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was hosted by SLCRPS board member and Hall of Fame inductee,&nbsp;<strong>Ron Stevens<\/strong>, joining him in making the introductions were Hall of Fame inductees,&nbsp;<strong>Joy Grdnic<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Ted Habeck<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Greg Hagglund<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a event was highlighted by the 12 inductees, including;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>LOCAL ARTISTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>The Aardvarks<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accepting on behalf of the band, members Jean Burman and Mike Newman<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NOTABLE: Jean &amp; Mike formed The Aardvarks in 1964 with Mike Wee and Skip Daley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>The Guise<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accepting on behalf of the band, Mike Krenski<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NOTABLE: Mike Krenski wrote the Bob Kuban hit song, \u201cThe Cheater.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Jake Jones<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accepting on behalf of the band, Don \u201cBarney\u201d River and Mike Krenski<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NOTABLE: Keyboardist, Phil Jost (1950-2021), among his many credits, wrote \u201cShe\u2019s My Baby\u201d for&nbsp;<em>Fast Times at Ridgemont High.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a MO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Stages<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(Granite City, Il.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accepting on behalf of Stages, owner Bill Benjamin<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NOTABLE: Stages hosted top local and national bands throughout the 1980s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Stonehenge<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(Lebanon, Il.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accepting on behalf of Stonehenge, owner\/manager, Gerry Geoppo<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NOTABLE:&nbsp;Gerry was still in his 20s when he managed the Stonehenge nightclub in Lebanon, Il, along with Ricco\u2019s in Belleville and Granite City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure becoming a popular radio personality on KSHE-FM and KSD-FM, Joe Mason directed TV episodes that appeared on CNN, ABC Family, VH-1, Discovery, and The Travel Channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EXECUTIVE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Wayne Meisenholder, Capital Records<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>92-year-old Wayne Meisenholder personally accepted his Hall of Fame award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NOTABLE: Several Capital acts, including Sammy Hagar, broke nationally out of St. Louis through the efforts of Wayne Meisenholder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure COOK AWARD<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Ralph Morse<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;(1951-2025)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accepting on behalf of Ralph, his nephew Nathan James<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NOTABLE: This award goes to the individual or individuals who consistently exemplify the mission of the St. Louis Classic Rock Preservation Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The St. Louis Classic Rock Hall of Fame is presented and curated by The St. Louis Classic Rock Preservation Society, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization now in its 15th year, hosting several events a year to raise funds for local St. Louis charities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ST.
