Christopher Alan Gordon is an American historian, lecturer, and museum professional in St. Louis where serves as the director of library and collections for the Missouri Historical Society. He is a recipient of the Marc Simmons Writing Award for his research on the history of the Santa Fe Trail, and his 2018 book, Fire, Pestilence, and Death: St. Louis, 1849<\/em>, won an Award of Excellence from the American Association for State and Local History and a Silver Medal for Regional Non-Fiction History by the Independent Book Publishers Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
