The class of U.S. skaters that will compete at the Championships are already some of the best in the world – as evidenced by the United States’ showing at the 2025 World Championships – winning three of the four disciplines:

Madison Chock and Evan Bates in ice dance, Ilia Malinin in men’s singles and Alysa Liu in women’s singles. Chock and Bates, originally ice dance partners and now also a married couple, are early favorites to win not only at the U.S. Championships, but gold in Milan. The prolific pair have competed together in three previous Olympics (2014, 2018, 2022), won six U.S. titles, and have won the past three world championships in ice dance. Malinin is widely considered the best men’s skater in the world currently, winning back-to-back world championships, and revolutionizing the sport with never-before-seen jumping ability, making him known as “The Quad God”.

Women’s singles competition boasts big names Amber Glenn and Alysa Liu, along with other contenders. Glenn will be seeking her third U.S. championship in a row and is bidding to make her first Olympic team. Liu, who was an Olympian in 2022, is experiencing an incredible resurgence after retiring from competitive skating in 2022. She returned to the ice in 2024, roared back to form to win the 2025 World Championship, and is a favorite for the medal stand in Milan.

There are plenty of other rising stars that will push the favorites for medals and Olympic team spots at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, making the four-day competition as thrilling as ever and the all-new Olympic Team Announcement Show on Sunday, Jan. 11 a highly anticipated event. The announcement show will reveal the skaters who will represent Team USA at the Olympic Winter Games and include exclusive performances from the newly named Olympic team members.

In all, the U.S. Championships comprises approximately 180 athletes and attracts fans from across the nation.

The event is broadcast by NBC with all championship events streamed live on Peacock. A full event schedule appears below. The schedule highlights when U.S. Figure Skating stars are expected to compete, though there are no guarantees. For casual fans, the “short program” is akin to a preliminary qualifier, while the “free skate” is considered the final and includes a medal ceremony at its conclusion.

All-session tickets and a weekend ticket package remain available and the best way to secure the best seats for all the moments not to be missed.
