What to Do When it Snows in St. Louis?

So you got yourself stuck inside with several inches of snow outside? I can understand you not wanting to conquer traffic or shoveling the driveway for a few hours. We got lucky with the snow coming on a day most government workers and schools have off, President’s Day, but what could you possibly do with your kids??? Go sledding of course! Which is exactly what I did with my little girl. We had so much fun sledding right in our own backyard. We went out twice, once in the morning and then again in the afternoon. After the first time outside I thought… “Hey, I should get out my GoPro!” Which is exactly what I did for our second round of sledding. It was so much fun to get outside and play in the snow. Normally it would only be a 10-15 minute playtime before Abby would want to go back inside. This time we were outside for close to an hour or more each session. The snow wasn’t snowman capable but it was definitely sled worthy.

Richie

My name is Richie and I am a 36 year old father of two. My daughter is nine years old and my son is six. I am married to a beautiful woman named Destiny. She is the foundation of our family, and without her, none of this would be possible. During the day I work as a network security administrator for a local school district. At night I can be found illustrating books, working on websites, or creating music, but more than likely though I am spending time with my kids.
